Lurker Uncloaking

Hi all,
Long time lurker of the LinuxQuestions forums, sometimes stumbling in via Google, but other times browsing around. I finally decided to disengage stealth mode and actually register.
A bit about my background, I'm a long-time Windows and Linux sysadmin, usually preferring MacOS as my primary desktop environment, but appreciating the *nix flavored underpinnings for working with Linux environments. Have always considered myself a Debian-oriented person when it comes to Linux. Although I've been running some flavor of Linux on most of my hardware for many, many years, it wasn't until about about two years ago that I made the decision to flip all of my personally-owned non-Apple hardware 100% to Ubuntu as a primary platform and have not looked back since. Recent changes to the Windows platform have really left a sour taste in my mouth, 8 absolutely sucked, 8.1 was terrible but somehow better, and 10 fixed things but added so much more garbage that I dislike. And I feel like Windows Server has just been stagnant for a bunch of years now.
All of my computers, labs, and production servers are virtualized in one fashion or another, usually having a multitude of operating systems under the hood. Actual real-world production is mostly CentOS and Ubuntu.
I've also recently created an additional partition on my primary laptop just for distro-hopping. Hahah, want to test them out on real hardware!
Also been dipping my toes into the visual and UI customizations of Linux, a world that I've always acknowledged but have almost completely ignored until now.
