Oracle linux on desktop ???
by Linux0110 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#537YD)
Hi linuxers I want to ask a question.
I became curious about Oracle Linux, but I am not a system administrator nor I control a server or database. I wanted to install it because I thought it was cool, but then people told me that it is a distro only for servers, is this true ???? Can't I use it as a desktop distro ?
Also I want to know if what i said about OL is true even for CentOS.
Another curiosity is that I've seen that Oracle Linux ISO is huge in size, around 7 GB even if after installation is the less bloated distro ever. Why so a large ISO ????
Thank you in advance for the attention you'll give to this message. :)
