At 7pm on Sunday May 10, Boris Johnson effectively ceased to be the prime minister of the UK and became prime minister of England.

Boris Johnson has done this the wrong way round. He should have made Commons statement as a detailed document was published and answered questions. Only then should he have addressed the nation on TV. Instead he has launched a jumble with many large questions unanswered.
