Can't Connect to Range Extender
by n5kzw from LinuxQuestions.org on (#53B4N)
I added a Galway/Wavlink WiFi Outdoor Range Extender to my network to get wireless access in my shop building. The Range Extender has an Ethernet connection to my Linksys MR8300 Router. The CAT5 cable is about 75 feet long.
I get a very strong WiFi signal down in the shop, 3 different laptops cannot connect to the range extender. One laptop is running 18.04 and the others are running 20.04. If I boot the laptops into Windoze, they connect with no problem.
When Ubuntu tries to connect, I see either ? or ... where the network icon should appear on the top status bar. Sometimes it will show connected, but with no internet.
Any suggestions? - Ed
