microphone sound too low (using usb headset)

Hi i recently got a new usb headset , its a Corsair Void RGB Elite USB. The only issue Im having with it is that the microphone volume is low. I have it at 153% and I often have to either raise my voice to get people to hear me. It seems to vary depending on the program that I use. On audacity its extremely low, on chromium its higher and even higher on firefox but its on the low side on all of them.
Im using Lubuntu.
