Rams unveil new uniforms mixing throwback colors with modern design
The Los Angeles Rams unveiled new uniforms Wednesday featuring a return to the bright royal blue and yellow of the franchise's heyday.

The design is anything but a throwback, however. Rounded numbers are colored with an ultra-modern gradient effect on the blue home jersey and an off-white "bone" color is used as the base of the away jersey. The Rams become the only team in the NFL that doesn't have a true white jersey in its uniform set.

The new uniforms also feature a slightly revised horn design on the helmets.

The traditional horn pattern is present on the shoulders of the home jersey, but not the away jersey. The two jerseys also use different designs for the patch that appears on the upper-left chest.

The new uniforms accompany a new logo, unveiled in March to widespread criticism from fans and former players.

This is the first major uniform redesign for the Rams since 2000.
The Rams wore royal blue and yellow when Kurt Warner directed the franchise - then based in St. Louis - to its only Super Bowl title in 1999. The following season, the team unveiled navy blue and gold uniforms.
After moving back to Los Angeles in 2016, the Rams began to experiment with their navy and gold uniforms to the extent which NFL uniform rules allowed. They changed from gold to white horns on their helmets, creating one of the most widely mocked uniform combinations in NFL history, and then began wearing their throwbacks as much as possible - including for their loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LIII.
