error on Nemo file manager with Samba
by Basslord1124 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#53FT1)
So I have a few Samba shares on my Debian server. I connect to them using my Debian laptop running Cinnamon desktop.
What I have noticed is that within the file manager Nemo, I can't connect to the shares. I have attached the error that I receive. At first I assumed perhaps it was a config issue or entering in wrong username/password. Well I couldn't find anything wrong so I just tried a different approach. I downloaded the smb4k program and I can connect to the shares just fine with no issues.
So is there a bug within Nemo or a setting needed in the smb.conf to make this work? As long as I can transfer files I am ok, but I'm just curious why it works in one program and not another.
