The defense lawyer for Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar says he's collected sworn affidavits from five witnesses who exonerated his client of any involvement in an armed robbery that took place Wednesday in Miramar, Florida.

"All of the affidavits indicate my client is innocent," Michael Grieco said Friday, according to David Ovalle of the Miami Herald.

The Miramar Police Department tweeted Thursday that a warrant had been issued for the arrests of Dunbar and New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker. Both are wanted for four counts of armed robbery and Baker is also wanted for four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.

According to the arrest warrant, the incident took place at a house party and included Baker pointing a gun and instructing Dunbar and another man to take money and expensive watches from others. Witnesses identified Baker and Dunbar as two of the assailants.

However, Grieco said five witnesses confirmed that Dunbar was not involved.

"I have never in my career seen a police department so excited about arresting a celebrity," Grieco said.

Prosecutors told Grieco they still require Dunbar to turn himself in.

Later Friday evening, Baker's attorney, Bradford Cohen, also issued a statement on Instagram, stating that his client is "innocent of any charges."
