Something happened to freetype on -current+multilib?

I don't seem to be able to compile wine any more,
Code:checking for -lfreetype... not found
configure: error: FreeType 32-bit development files not found. Fonts will not be built.
Use the --without-freetype option if you really want this. and the old (already installed) wine suddenly fails at displaying fonts,
Did something happen, or it is my own glitch?
