email notifications : what is the LQ current MTA ?
by genese from LinuxQuestions.org on (#53R33)
Dears,
I don't receive threads notifications anymore.
I can't find any trace in my SMTP logs, so I suspect a firewall problem.
Can you provide me with the IP range(s) used by your current MTA(s) ?
And now, a suggestion :
Last notification I received (in 2019) had the following envelope :
Code:client_name=a9-244.smtp-out.amazonses.com, client_address=54.240.9.244, sender=0100016b06991ba9-1673eb46-72a8-4222-8b46-5c33f9b810ce-000000@amazonses.comChanging the default PTR record and the "From" to something more explicit would ease the job of the postmaster.
