[SOLVED] broken /var/log/packages two versions of the same package
by quickbreakfast from LinuxQuestions.org on (#53YQY)
I'm recently installed 14.2 stable (I'm not yet confident enough to use current) so when I went to upgrade my system the computer tells me that
Code:Checking local integrity... DONE
You have a broken /var/log/packages - with two versions of the same package.
The list of packages duplicated in your machine are shown below, but don't
worry about this list - when you select your action, slackpkg will show a
better list:
a52dec-0.7.4-x86_64-2
a52dec-0.7.4-x86_64-3alien
libvpx-1.1.0-x86_64-1alien
libvpx-1.5.0-x86_64-1
You can (B)lacklist, (R)emove, or (I)gnore these packages.
Select your action (B/R/I):None of Alien Bob's files are not currently blacklisted and while blacklisting them seems to be the go, I worry about confusing the computer with the duplicates.
Removing the duplicate has me wondering about breaking this system.
And ignoring the does not solve the problem.
So I'm not sure what option to take so would appreciate some advice.
