I don't see the pdf attachment I downloaded from my email anywhere in zorin folders

Twice I downloaded a pdf and a .docx file that someone emailed to me as attachments to zorin's download folder, I was even told "the 2 files exist already, do you want to replace these downloads". I don't see them in the download folder of zorin. Any idea where the 2 .docx files might be? My download folder is sparse, they should stick out in plain sight. I typed in zorin os search to no avail.
