Looking for the "autoexec" of Linux DE per user

I'm currently using Linux Mint with Cinnamon DE, but I've also installed OpenBox and Tint2 to go with it. From my login screen, I can pick the window manager I want. When I enter Cinnamon, I can see that some programs auto-load akin to DOS's AUTOEXEC.BAT. In particular, Jami, which I recently installed and I'm not using much, to my annoyance, is popping up every time I open Cinnamon with my main user, but it does not if I enter Cinnamon with another user. At the same time, if I enter OpenBox with my main user and I run Tint2, it will not auto-set-up so that it auto-opens the next time. That is, I have to open it every time I enter OpenBox, which I would like not to happen.

So, my question is, is there some kind of "autoexec.bat" that works per desktop environment and per user? Maybe it does not contains commands but just a list of programs to be loaded at start up. How can I have control on this so that I can choose what auto-starts for each user and each DE?
