One network card - dynamic IP + another static IP
by Grobe from LinuxQuestions.org on (#54E8P)
Hi.
Is it possible to set up a network card so that it have two set of IP addresses:
* One dynamic IP that get it's IP from the router
* Another static IP. This will have an IP address on another subnet than the router.
I want to set it up this way because I'd plan to use a file server with a static IP that shall not be accessible from the router.
The OS'es that I've currently installed
