Problems with opera - Fedora 32
by Kyoumu from LinuxQuestions.org on (#54HHZ)
Hello, I would like to get a little bit of help.
I'm new to linux, or to be more precise, I haven't used it for about 8 years now.
Fedora was my favourite distro back then and opera has been my favourite browser as well.
Problem started when I tried to use opera on fedora, frankly, it opens really slowly and players such as Youtube and Netflix are really laggy. I tried opening it from terminal and it shows:
Code:WARNING: cgroup v2 is not fully supported yet, proceeding with partial confinement
Gtk-Message: 00:48:00.867: Failed to load module "pk-gtk-module"
Gtk-Message: 00:48:00.868: Failed to load module "pk-gtk-module"I looked at a lot of resources and installed quite a bit of packages in hopes of fixing these errors and to be fair, opera has gotten a lot faster, but errors still remain.
I'm not quite sure but what I was able to figure out is that there are some inconsistencies with cgroup v2 and snap?
Should I switch to cgroup v1? I really don't want to do that as I've read that 2nd cgroup is better, so after searching for hours I finally decided to seek the help of more experienced people.
Hope you can help me and thank you for support!
P.S. When opening new tabs, it shows me this error in console:
Code:ERROR:child_thread_impl.cc(784)] Receiver for unknown Channel-associated interface: chrome.mojom.SearchBouncerWhich I also looked for a solution, but frankly, found nothing that was of any help.
