Slackware64-current multilib: Pan-0.146 segfaults accessing group properties

Yes, I still use newsgroups.
Pan normally runs well, but when, from the Edit menu or via right-click, select 'Edit Selected Group's Preferences', pan will exit with segfault and no other explanation. Looks like,

...I haven't found anything similar yet on their issue tracker. Asking here first to make sure it's not something odd on my end.
