Wifi Dropping Since Kernel Upgrade - Linux Mint 19.3 Kernel Post 5.0.0.32 - rt1800pci
by bWildered1 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#54P6S)
Hi
First post. Hope I'm in the right place.
rt1800pci
Have been using Mint for some years without any real problems.
After a regular update some months ago the PC began dropping WiFi, often every few minutes. It could sometimes be restored by reconnecting to the WiFi SSID. If this didn't work, turning the WiFi off and on did the trick.
There is no problem with kernel 5.0.0.32
For me, this is the last kernel that has no WiFi problems.
It is inconvenient having to select a kernel upon startup.
Any suggestions about how I might proceed?
Take care all.
M
