Puppy Linux install

Hey guys, newbie here you've probably heard this loads:). I have created a bootable usb with puppy linux on it and before I install it I just want to make sure that it doesn't mess up my computer or I cant boot out of it and back into windows. Just because I recently tried intalling anti-x linux and I somehow messed up my c: drive and windows couldn't boot up which was fixed by creating a windows bootable usb but I don't want to go through that again as I had to install all my apps again and files. Any help would be great!:)
