Debian jessie fglx driver not working
by wlodar2 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#54XK8)
Fglrx driver is not working in Debian jessie even with amd instruction from https://wiki.debian.org/ATIProprietary.
There are some glitchs with diversion package, kernel 3.16.04 headers and linux-compiler-gcc-4.8-x86.
Any sugestions?
Install diversion packet in version 0.51 manually allows to install fglrx package from repository but after restart
the screen is slow and the windows are jumping. In the kernel log is information that graphic card is not a vga card but Catalyst was installed (Sapphire Radeon HD 6950 1GB VRAM - Dirt2, speed: 800Mhz - 840Mhz).
Some patch names sgi...? i don`t remember failed too beacouse of missing header for this kernel and linux-compiler-gcc-4.8-x86 in repository.
Patch wrote that headers for this distro are virtual. Symbolic link to new headers works but gcc for x86 is still missing.
DRM drivers works well but Catalyst Control Center wasn`t installed.
Last working distro with fglrx driver and Catalyst Control Center is Debian 7 wheezy but he got old installator and not all partitions are discovered.
