Low power draw in my laptop
by Hermani from LinuxQuestions.org on (#55065)
Today I was just amazed about how little power my laptop actually uses while I am working on it. I run Ubuntu 20.04 with KDE on my Chuwi Aerobook. I installed the extended power management. It turns out, the power draw while I am working on it is just 4 Watts.
That is the same as a small LED lamp. About the same power as one of the tail lights on my car. It is what my alarm clock uses 24/7. And it is running the Intel processor, GB's of memory, a SSD and a full HD screen on that.
The power consumption of my desktop is 35x!!
I don't have a question, I am just amazed..
