Problems loading Pop! OS distro onto portable USB drive on Windows 10
by spooky summer from LinuxQuestions.org on (#553XB)
I'm new to Linux and plan on having it as my main OS. I've so far tested Ubuntu & Mint from my USB, and I decided to try Pop! OS. However, I've ran into an issue.
For some reason, whenever I load the distro onto my drive, the USB stops appearing. I can't access it; while it'll show the drive in devices, it's not allowing me to modify or troubleshoot. It makes a new drive, if that makes sense? This has never happened with the previous distros, so I'm lost on what the problem is. I've tried to reformat, and it DOES show back up afterward, but it clears out the drive. I used other USBs as well and it all happens on each one.
Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Why are my USBs reformatting into something different?
