Has anyone made a recent attempt to build Trinity Desktop on an Arch-based system?

I was wondering if anyone has recently tried to build Trinity's newest official release on an Arch-based system, and if so would you be willing to walk me through your procedure? Building from source is something I'm only moderately adept at to begin with, and following the directions in the Trinity documentation I'm finding that every single step of the process is coming with major issues. There is an unofficial repository, but the version there is over a year old and there have been significant changes, so I can't just modify those pkgbuild files with the new version and path... it's not that simple.

I would appreciate any assistance.
