Editing PDF files with Chrome

I filled out my 1040 with Chrome. When I checked the finished product, none of my edits had been saved. Chrome created new editions every time I saved, but they were all identical with the original. I found out that if I printed the edited file, save as PDF, that it kept the changes. The characters I entered aren't saved as text, making the file much larger, but it beats my other choices.

Does everybody else already know this?
