Sarpi 64-bit kernel only sees 1GB of RAM
by resolver from LinuxQuestions.org on (#55M1B)
Hello Exaga,
I installed a fresh copy of Slackware ARM, booting with the 64-bit kernel that you provided at sarpi64.fatdog.eu. Everything seemed to be going fine until I typed "free -h" and I realized that the kernel for some reason only believes there is 1GB of RAM, when in fact my Pi4 has 8GB.
I tried changing the cmdline.txt file to add total_mem=8192 but this just caused a kernel panic.
Do you have any idea how to fix this?
