Thunderbird: are the account's server settings in the profile folder?

I tried to access an old e-mail account in Thunderbird, but haven't got the server settings right yet--I'm pretty sure that's the problem, anyway. Could I "cheat" by looking in an old copy of my Thunderbird profile I found on a backup, which already contains that e-mail account? That is, wouldn't the files list the correct server settings? If so, what file would they be in?
