Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon; disappointed!

Pleased at the announcement of Mint 20. I did the first install (thankfully) on my portable
as a familiarisation excercise prior to installing on my main machine. Usually my first task is to install Opera browser, my favourite. As I have found in the past, in the repository I can find Firefox and Chromium but no Opera, although after it is installed I get "same version already installed" messages, which tells me that it exists SOMEWHERE in the repository but has been deliberately made hard to find. When I try to download from the Opera website Firefox seems reluctant to find the site and then recently makes it as awkward as possible to install. My usual solution was to download Chromium and use that to download
Opera but now I find that Chromium cannot be downloaded because "we don't want to be downloading software behind your back" or some such twaddle. This whole scenario is starting
to smell more and more like Redmond! Busy right now, but when I'm finished what I'm doing it's back to the portable and Mint 20 is for the Trump's Rush!!latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=c8jQtKO6eRE:l7Cc4ev1TPI:F7zBnMy latest?i=c8jQtKO6eRE:l7Cc4ev1TPI:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=c8jQtKO6eRE:l7Cc4ev1TPI:gIN9vFwc8jQtKO6eRE
