Crystal Lavergne, patient who escaped Hamilton psychiatric unit spotted in Kitchener
Hamilton police say an escapee from St. Joseph's Psychiatric Hospital has been spotted in the Kitchener area and are advising the public not to approach her, but call police.
Crystal Lavergne, 38, was last seen on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, just before 1:30 p.m., at the intersection of West 5th Street and Fennell Avenue on Hamilton Mountain.
Through investigation police have learned that about one hour after being in the city, Crystal was dropped off by a cab in the area of Ottawa Street South and Alpine Road in Kitchener.
Waterloo Regional and Hamilton Police continue to work together on this investigation in hopes of locating her.
Lavergne is described as five-foot-one, 150 pounds, with a pale complexion and short blond hair. She has a star tattoo on her upper lip, and a chin and nose piercing, and was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, a maroon shirt and blue jeans. She was also wearing glasses and a checkered fanny pack.
Police say Lavergne can become defensive and offensive toward others," and are advising the public not to approach or communicate with her.
