NFLPA: 72 players have tested positive for COVID-19
The NFL Players Association announced Thursday that 72 players are known to have tested positive for COVID-19 as of July 10.
It didn't specify how many players were tested, but the league-wide player total would be around 2,800 if all 32 teams maxed out their 90-man rosters, meaning 72 positive tests would equate to around 2.5% of the NFL's workforce.
The union also released a heat map of COVID-19 cases in relation to the locations of NFL franchises:

The NFL and NFLPA remain in negotiations for coronavirus-related reopening protocols ahead of the training camps, which are scheduled to begin in late July as normal.
Major issues are yet to be resolved, including whether COVID-19 should be classified as a "non-football injury," a source told ESPN's Dan Graziano.
The NFL said it intends to hold a full season and play in front of fans despite the pandemic, though closed-door games are reportedly part of contingency plans.
