Can't view videos in browser (Firefox or Chromium)

I'm running openSUSE Tumbleweed and after a recent update I'm unable to view videos from most video websites. I can view local videos with for example mpv or VLC, so the required codecs should be installed. Youtube is the only one I've found that works, but Metacafe for example doesn't.
I was originally planning to post this question on the openSUSE forums (https://forums.opensuse.org/), but I don't seem able to login there. I get no error message, just not able to log in (and consequently not able to ask why I'm not able to login either). If I give the wrong password it tells me so.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=0sRTNoMkHJQ:8E6lUebyxhM:F7zBnMy latest?i=0sRTNoMkHJQ:8E6lUebyxhM:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=0sRTNoMkHJQ:8E6lUebyxhM:gIN9vFw0sRTNoMkHJQ
