Shutdown/reboot only works via console or display manager

Hi. I have both Plasma and XFCE installed on my system. XFCE is missing the options to shut down or reboot, meaning I can only logout, then hit poweroff from sddm (or just use a terminal), though in XFCE it makes sense since I don't have the power management running for it.

In Plasma however, I can press reboot or shut down, programs will close and processes will be killed, but then the screen will just stay black with a cursor as nothing else happens. I have upower installed and running, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm also using systemd if that matters.

This is what all I get in the logs when I press reboot, then it just halts here. It's also worth mentioning it shuts down via the power button.
