reassigning keys

A few of the keys on my keyboard are awkwardly assigned: thus, the double-apostrophe key is "@", and the @ key - i.e. Shift-1 - is the double-apostrophe. I'd like to swap these.

Also, the "pipe" key is rendered as "~", and the tilde is rendered as "" - and there is no "pipe" key - which is inconvenient.

Help gratefully received!
