KDE: wicked slow file transfers

Hi,

I've been using KDE (on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed) for the better part of the last three weeks and there's a lot I love about it. However, there is on issue that I cannot figure out or understand.

KDE is SO slow when I do large file transfers. Like it drops from 145mbps to between 2-9mbps. This seems to be happening when files are larger (maybe 1GB+). I had read that it was an issue/bug some time ago with Dolphin but that Krusader didn't have this issue. Something about Dolphin trying to keep the entire large file in memory at once, rather than just the part that's currently being transferred. However, Krusader has the exact same issue. And this is years later from the old threads I found. It makes moving data minimum of 10x slower. I'm really falling for KDE and there's so much I love about it. Why is it so terrible on file transfer and is there anything that can be done about it - short of switching to another distro? It's just too slow for these transfers. Are others having this issue? I have it in Tumbleweed, and also when I've used KDE live (USB) distros, too. Same thing. Any thoughts would be really helpful. Thanks so much in advance!latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=pBSBIKcMWLQ:c5ILZbieQ64:F7zBnMy latest?i=pBSBIKcMWLQ:c5ILZbieQ64:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=pBSBIKcMWLQ:c5ILZbieQ64:gIN9vFwpBSBIKcMWLQ
