3D on Intel HD4000 (Ivy bridge?)

One of these sucky cards came with my APU, so I'm stuck with it in my laptop. No 3D atm. I'm on -Current of March 2020.

I've been through this before. I don't want the intel driver, I need the other one, whatever that is. I have installed:

• xf86-video-intel-20191209_f66d3954-x86_64-1
• intel-vaapi-driver-2.4.0-x86_64-2
• mesa-20.0.2-x86_64-1

but the vaapi driver sticks it's files in /usr/lib64/dri, whereas the old, sucky & deprecated intel driver sticks files in /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/drivers and that appears to be where X is looking. Should I be looking elsewhere?
