Crosby returns to Penguins practice
Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby practiced with his teammates Friday after missing nearly a week of drills, the team confirmed.
Crosby left a scrimmage early on July 18 but the reason was not disclosed. Coaches and players are prohibited from commenting on the specifics of players' injuries or illnesses under the NHL's postseason policy.

The Penguins are set to begin their play-in matchup with the Montreal Canadiens on Aug. 1 but will first play an exhibition game versus the Philadelphia Flyers on July 28.
Crosby, who turns 33 in August, only appeared in 41 games before the season pause due to a core muscle injury that required surgery. He registered 47 points while averaging over 20 minutes of ice time per night in his 15th NHL campaign.
