Problem Adding PPAs
by Iankahn from LinuxQuestions.org on (#565NV)
Good evening, Linux gurus!
I am trying to add PPAs for several amateur radio applications to my Ubunutu 20.04 Mate system. When I run the command
sudo add-apt-repository <ppa_name>
for some of these PPAs, I get the following notifications and errors:
E: The repository '<ppa_name>' does not have a Release file.
N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.
I've tried reviewing the man pages for guidance, but they just confuse me.
How do I get these PPAs successfully added to my system so that I can keep the relevant software packages up to date?
Thanks in advance for the help.
