Scripts keep stopping
by XYZ Farmer from LinuxQuestions.org on (#566AY)
I need advice. I recently installed Ubuntu 17.04 on an old desktop computer as an alternate server. The specs are 740 MB memory, 2.40 GHz, and a 10 gig disk. It's 32 bit setup. The problem is that I cannot access any of my email accounts at Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail without the scripts stopping, such that the page won't even open. I don't know any code and I have no idea how to debug the script problem. I suspect that this is related to there being no updates for 17.04, so I am considering installing a different Linux system. Some, such as Lubuntu, Linux Lite, Puppy, etc. might be better for me and solve the script problem but I don't have the time to determine which might be best for my needs, which are very basic. I do eBay, including using photos, access the email accounts mentioned above, and I sometimes watch YouTube videos. If Firefox is included in the setup that would be desirable as I usually use that browser. My only other annoyance with Ubuntu is that the scroll bars are much too tiny and that's a PITA I'd like to avoid.
