now oulseaudio is being a troublwmaker

this only recently started happening. with or without audio playing, pulseaudio starts using over 100% CPU. it's not much more, like around 103% total. audio play does work, and it's not using extra for that. i am running in system mode so i keep om hearing my music when i switch to a different user (like user "forums" to post this, user "phil" where i do most of my coding, and user "youtube" where i play music).

has anyone seen it go to 100% CPU? i don't know how to get it to stop other than to kill it and restart it. in a few hours it will do it, again. it turns the fans on with the extra power it uses.
