France has recorded its highest daily increase in new Covid-19 infections since May, prompting authorities there to consider new suppression measures, as Spain said its daily rise in cases was the highest since a nationwide lockdown was lifted in June.
According to the latest figures, released late on Wednesday, there were an additional 1,392 confirmed cases over a 24-period in France, and 21 new coronavirus clusters, bringing the total to 147.
