No keyboard after fresh install of current

I use a Code USB keyboard and it is not being recognized by Slackware Current. The board worked during the install process but after the reboot I am left unable to log into my system. The LEDs don't even come on and they always come on about halfway through boot.
The install stick lets me get back into my root partition and from there my keyboard does work but I don't see any options for setting up a keyboard. Any help you guys could provide would be appreciated. I have been having a very eventful install after building a new machine.
