duplicate/backup init files - i.e. rc.inet1 and rc.inet1.orig

Hi all, I just did a fresh install of 14.2 and pointed mirror to current and updated. I notice now that there are quite a few init files that have .orig tacked on. I suspect this is because they are back-ups of pre-update to current which would make sense. But my question is why are both the new and the .orig files both executable. Wouldn't this cause some potential issues? Am I supposed to manually address these?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=q8lScRL7IyA:3izTVLWChxk:F7zBnMy latest?i=q8lScRL7IyA:3izTVLWChxk:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=q8lScRL7IyA:3izTVLWChxk:gIN9vFwq8lScRL7IyA
