Guice was arrested on domestic violence charges, a Loudoun County Sheriff's Office spokesman announced, according to the Washington Post's Sam Fortier, Nicki Jhabvala, and Les Carpenter.

One of the charges is a count of strangulation, which is a felony, and the others are three counts of assault, battery, and destruction of property, add Fortier, Jhabvala, and Carpenter.

The charges against Guice came from three separate incidents earlier this year (Feb. 14, March 13, and April 17), the Loudoun County Sheriff's Department said, according to John Keim of ESPN.

The 23-year-old turned himself in Friday afternoon. He was released later on a $10,000 unsecured bond, according to Ben Standig of The Athletic.

A second-round pick in 2018, Guice missed his entire rookie season due to a torn ACL suffered during the preseason. In his sophomore campaign, the LSU standout also battled serious injuries and appeared in just five games. He rushed for 245 yards and two touchdowns in 2019.

Guice passed his physical, clearing him to return in late-July. Washington expected him to be an important contributor in the offense, sharing carries with veteran running back Adrian Peterson.

Washington's backfield also features Bryce Love, a 2019 fourth-round pick who didn't play in his first year due to injury, and third-round rookie Antonio Gibson.
