Public spaces: Thinking outside the blocks

On Toronto's west side, a barren schoolyard has been dubbed Bloordale Beach and area residents are using it as such, minus the water. It used to be a huge fight to for a restaurant to get a patio in almost any neighbourhood and now they are popping up everywhere. The same could be said for bike lanes, and there's been over 25 kilometres put in over the past few months.
