Slackware and WSL
by doctorwho8 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#56XZ1)
Hello!
I have an interesting request. This is a Windows 10 Laptop. And it has their WSL functions running. I have Docker available, who can successfully bring up an image of Slackware 14.2 for 64 bit. And I have installed one of a sister distribution for WSL. It's a poorly constructed one of SuSe.
Their store (Microsoft) does not contain an example for Slackware, any of the three, (that I know of) for 64 bit, for example, I saw on the FTP site, 13.37 and 14.1 and 14.2, for a while I ran 14.2 on another laptop. What I'd like to do is create a WSL capable image of Slackware 14.2 for 64 bit. But, ah, I'm at my usual wit's end there. What I am looking for here, is a little help.
