Crying babies found in locked vehicle in Simcoe by ‘Good Samaritan’
Police in Simcoe were called to help two crying infants locked in a vehicle Thursday.
At about 3:30 p.m., Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police and paramedics went to Head Street North after being called by a Good Samaritan."
That person had been walking on the street and noticed two infants in a vehicle.
Officers arrived to find the babies out of the vehicle with paramedics and their mother.
Police said in a media release the driver left the vehicle running, but when the driver walked away from (the) car with their key fob it automatically shut off."
The infants were taken to hospital by ambulance for precautionary measures."
The Children's Aid Society of Haldimand and Norfolk have been contacted," the media release said.
OPP is reminding parents and care givers to never leave children in a vehicle without supervision.
