Adobe Reader 9.5.5 no longer works

-current64 multilib: Probably related to some recent upgrade. When starting, there's just a flicker but the program won't launch. When starting from terminal I get that old and irrelevant warning
Code:(acroread:6114): Gtk-WARNING **: 15:11:12.187: Unable to locate theme engine in module_path: "clearlooks",and again, a flicker and nothing more.

I suspected the latest harfbuzz upgrade so reverted to previous version but no difference.

I could of course just ditch that old program, I rarely use it but now and then it comes in handy.
