Violent crash in Burlington traps driver for several minutes

Halton Regional Police are investigating a serious crash between a Burlington Transit bus and a car Monday afternoon that has injured two people and sent a man to hospital.
The crash occurred at Upper Middle Road and Headon Road around 1:20 p.m., according to Halton Regional Police.
The driver of the car was trapped in his vehicle for several minutes before being extricated by Burlington firefighters and taken to hospital by Halton Region Paramedics.
The driver of the bus also sustained injuries as the force of the crash dislodged the windshield of the big vehicle.
A section of Upper Middle Road has been closed for the investigation.
