Internet sharing. Linux host, Windows 7 client, no Internet access

The Linux machine (Hyperbola distro) has a wireless internet connection. In Network Manager, "Shared to other computers" is selected for the IPv4 setting of the wired interface.

I've tried connecting both computers directly (with an Ethernet cable) and connecting both to a switch with ethernet cables. I've tried rebooting both after changing settings.

The Windows machine doesn't connect to the network all unless I run the troubleshooting wizard, but it still has no Internet connection after I do that. I've tried using DHCP (using the "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" options in the TCP/IPv4 settings for the Windows Local Area Connection). ipconfig confirms that DHCP is enabled when I do this.

I've also tried setting a static IP on the Windows machine. I'm really not sure what to enter here, but this is what I have now:

Windows settings I entered:
IP: 10.42.0.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 10.42.0.0
Preferred DNS: 75.75.75.75

According to Network Manager:

Linux wired IP address: 10.42.0.1
Broadcast Address: 10.42.0.255
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Linux wireless IP: 10.224.115.108
Broadcast Address: 10.227.255.255
Subnet mask: 255.252.0.0
Default Route: 10.224.0.1
Primary DNS: 75.75.75.75
Secondary DNS: 75.75.76.76latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=TqF7pHCq_0A:2vJKTNHv1aE:F7zBnMy latest?i=TqF7pHCq_0A:2vJKTNHv1aE:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=TqF7pHCq_0A:2vJKTNHv1aE:gIN9vFwTqF7pHCq_0A
