Buffalo Bills cornerback Josh Norman is out indefinitely after picking up a hamstring injury, Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Friday, according to ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques.

"We don't know the severity exactly. Those things take some time to get a good read on," McDermott said. "He'll continue to learn and be out there when he can. The biggest thing right now is that he maximizes his treatment opportunities so he can get back out there as quickly as possible."

Norman injured his hamstring at practice Thursday when he was tripped up during an interception return.

The 32-year-old signed a one-year, $6-million deal with Buffalo in March after Washington released him in February.
