Help with Epson ET-2760 wifi printer
by staus from LinuxQuestions.org on (#577G0)
I cannot print to my Epson ET-2760 printer
Here are the steps I performed:
1. Compile and install a homemade slack package of the linux drivers from Epson
2. Compiled and installed avahi, libdaemon, and mod-dnssd code from Slackbuilds.org
3. Recompiled and installed the slackware cups sorce code to enable avahi and dnssd
4. Started avahi daemon with /etc/rc.d/rc.avahi daemon start
5. Ran cups with localhost:631 in firefox
6. Selected add a printer, and cups now finds my wifi printer correctly:
dnssd://EPSON%20ET-2760%20Series._ipp./tcp.local/?uuid=cfe92100-67c4-11d4-a45f-50579ca8b010
7. Selected the correct epson driver and set dafault paper size
8. Attempted to print a test page. cups shows rendering complete, but then cannot find the printer that it just added.
"Unable to locate printer "EPSONA8B010.local"."
Help. I have run out of things to try.
