ripperX: Can't create WAV dir. Why?

I'm on Slackware64 14.2. I have installed ripperX. It took some doing, but I have successfully gotten a track listing. Now I want to rip the CD. Everything is ready that I know of. Now just to hit that magic Go! button. Only this time, I am confronted with a message box that says, "The WAV dir does not exist. Create it?" My home partition is at 63% of capacity. I SHOULD have room to create it. So I click the Yes button. I am confronted with an error message: "Error code 29. Cannot create WAV dir." What is this WAV dir stuff? Is this yet another example of someone attempting to "fix" something that isn't broken? <rant deleted> So how do I fix my local install of ripperX?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=jJfKXr9Oleg:2w2h3BZ7A0E:F7zBnMy latest?i=jJfKXr9Oleg:2w2h3BZ7A0E:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=jJfKXr9Oleg:2w2h3BZ7A0E:gIN9vFwjJfKXr9Oleg
